Understanding the NSIMS User Interface
Reference guide explaining standard UI patterns, data grids, status badges, and action drawers across all applications.
1. Data Tables, Sorting & Pagination
All records are rendered in high-density, accessible data grids. Click any column header (e.g. Student ID, Name, Date) to toggle ascending or descending sort order.
2. Search & Multi-Axis Filters
Use the search input at the top of tables to filter by keyword in real time. For accounting reports, remember that Collections filter by calendar date, whereas Receivables filter by the selected Academic Period.
3. Standard Status Badge Colors
Active / Passed / Approved
Normal operational state or passed grade.
Pending / In Progress / Draft
Awaiting sign-off or unsubmitted draft.
Dropped (DRP) / Deficient / Cancelled
Officially dropped subject or academic deficiency.
Archived / Historical
Closed academic term or locked record.
